Game Programmer (m/f/d) immediately

Who we are looking for and we are looking for you now!

You have a passion for game development and at best you already have a few years of experience in the industry as a Game Programmer? You are motivated to create exciting indie games in a small team? You like to work across disciplines and are always happy when you can contribute your skills in different areas and the proverbial edge of your nose has never been a limit for you? Then you are a ByteRocker!

Who we are

ByteRockers' Games is a developer studio from Berlin that has been in existence since 2008. We have earned our spurs with various mobile games. Now we want to achieve something bigger together. We develop for all major platforms and have successfully published on PC, PlayStation and Nintendo SWITCH. Our strength lies in the independent, joint development of indie games that are more than just a pastime.

What we expect

You have successfully completed training or studies in the field of "Programming" and/or have already gained practical experience in the world as a Game Programmer or similar. As a Game Programmer you will be a key player in one of our teams (5-7 people per team), bringing our project to life. This is therefore a position with a high degree of personal responsibility. Creativity and teamwork are very important to us! Every team member can contribute to development, game design and the overall process in general at any time. We work with flat hierarchies and iterative processes in order to achieve the best possible result and at the same time have fun at work (that goes without saying).

If you want to be a ByteRocker, you should bring the following with you:

  • A degree or an apprenticeship as a game programmer.
  • Work experience is an advantage, but not a must have! We are looking for people who will grow with us and work well in a team.
  • You have experience in developing games, working in engines like Unity and Unreal
  • You are proficient in C++, C# and confident in using Git and Jenkins
  • You have good analytical skills and can solve more complicated problems without losing track of the big picture
  • You are a team player and have a good self-demand on the quality of your work
  • You are passionate about gamers and have a strong understanding for their development
  • English language skills, both written and spoken (Company language is German!)

What we offer

You will work in a small team on our latest indie games. We welcome you in a very spacious, modern office directly at the U-Bhf. Schloßstrasse. Flexitime, flat hierarchies, lots of opportunities to contribute and a generally experimental, independent approach to game development round out the working atmosphere. In addition, we offer you the possibility of a membership in a modern fitness studio here in the house and look forward to your ideas on how we can further strengthen our cooperation.
Of course, you can expect an appropriate salary for this very demanding task. Here we would like to hear your introduction.
